Boundary Areas and Boundary Projects
Abstract
There is great scientific progress in areas which combine knowledge
and scientific paradigms coming from different scientific domains. We will
discuss some examples of combinations between relatively close areas in
Computer Media and Communication Sciences. We will also discuss examples
like Bio-Informatics or Medical-Informatics which combine widely different
areas. Some projects will be outlined demonstrating the problems but also
the great potential of the approach. New carreer possibilities are open
for people properly trained in these Bi-Tri Sciences.
