SPECIAL PAPER SESSION -

A VISION for a NEW DISCIPLINE

 

 

The HICSS-31 will host a continuing dialog on "A Vision of a new Discipline", chaired by Jay Nunamaker, University of Arizona, and Ralph Sprague, University of Hawai'i. This session will review the most recent changes in successful academic programs in the information, library and communication sciences.

The papers presented will include the latest developments and results of discussions stemming from the Arizona commission, and others, that have been set up to gather information from industry, government and educational fields on how to re-engineer education to meet the technological demands of the new century.
