PROCEEDINGS AT HICSS-32
New Options and Procedures
( Registered participants must take action by Dec. 22)

We are pleased to announce  new options for Proceedings at HICSS-32.
Each registered participant will receive a copy of a book of abstracts of all conference papers.  In the back of the abstract book  is a CD/ROM with full papers, and an electronic guide for searching and accessing all papers.  These are improved versions of the Abstract Book and CD that were supplied last year.  Note:  We have had to discontinue the full printed volumes of Proceedings;  this year they would have comprised 4500 pages in eight volumes, and weighed over 25 pounds.

However, the availability of full papers at the conference, in printed form, is important to support the detailed discussions and interaction among participants, for which HICSS is famous.  So registered participants have the following options for obtaining printed versions of full papers at the conference.

1. Personal Proceedings.  Each registered participant will receive an email message with instructions for ordering a volume of Personal Proceedings.  You will sign on to a website and choose up to 24 papers from the complete list of papers in the proceedings.  These papers will be printed and bound in your Personal Proceedings with your name on the cover, to be delivered to you at the conference.  The cost of this volume is included in the registration fee.

2.  Print-on-Demand.  At the conference, if you discover additional papers that you want    in printed form, you may obtain them from our Print-on-Demand facility for $1 each.

The Proceedings are an important part of the value of HICSS; we feel that this spectrum of Proceedings formats and media will continue to make the papers an important part of the conference , and make a major contribution to the literature base in the technical areas.

If you have registered for the conference, but you have not received an email message with instructions for ordering your Personal Proceedings volume, please send an email message to hicss@hawaii.edu
