Congratulations on having your paper accepted to the Thirty-Fourth Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS-34). Final acceptance is conditional upon submission of the final draft of your paper and copyright transfer form being submitted by September 29 and registration by at least one of the authors for the conference by October 1, 2000.
The Proceedings will be published and distributed by the Computer Society Press of the IEEE and listed in its publication brochures. You must follow the IEEE Proceedings Guidelines and their deadlines to ensure that the proceedings are ready for distribution at the Conference in January.
There are 6 steps you must complete by Friday, September 29:
If you are unable to submit your paper via the FTP site, you can make arrangements with IEEE to accept a paper version for an extra charge of US $100. Please contact the HICSS Conference Office by September 20 for information about how to submit a paper version.
Please submit your abstract as PLAIN TEXT, ONLY. Do not submit it in any other format. Abstracts not submitted in plain text will be rejected. Abstracts that do not include the code number will be rejected. Make sure to include the following in your abstract:
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please make sure to include your abstract Filename Code (with the "A") in the subject line of your message.
You should also register at the Outrigger Wailea Hotel (PDF version or HTML version) by October 1 as well. While there are other hotels within driving distance of the conference venue, this time of year is very popular in Hawaii and other accommodations may be scarce. HICSS has a limited number of rooms available at the Outrigger.
We also encourage you to make your airline and car reservations as early as possible because they too may become scarce.
Once you submit the Copyright Form, your paper becomes copyrighted by IEEE. You may post a copy of your paper on the Web, but you must display the following copyright notice on the initial page:
