The Maui High Performance Computing Center (MHPCC)

The Maui High Performance Computing Center (MHPCC) is a world class, state-of-the-art, high performance computing center and is pleased to provide support to the HICSS-34 conference. Attendees will have an opportunity to see the MHPCC facility and view a number of demonstrations that highlight MHPCC's focus on image and signal processing and modeling and simulation activities.

Tour demonstrations will include:

  1. Advanced image processing that supports the research efforts of the Air Force's Maui Space Surveillance Complex
  2. Exploration of new sciences in agent based simulations of battlefield environments for the Marine Corps Combat Development Command
  3. Simulations and demonstrations of environmental projects including demonstrations of Tsunami prediction, wildfire simulation, and weather modeling for various government organizations

TOUR TIMES: 10:30-11:30 am and 3 - 4:30 pm on Friday, January 5.
Sign-ups will be available at Registration. Because of security requirements, name/address/social security and/or passport numbers will be required of all visitors. Private transportation/ride sharing, deparature from the hotel porte cochere. (A HICSS staff member will coordinate the trips.)

MHPCC is a Center of the University of New Mexico established through a Cooperative Agreement with the United States Air Force Research Laboratory. MHPCC is chartered to support a diverse base of users, facilitating collaborations needed to solve some of today's complex computational problems. MHPCC is a leader in scalable computing technologies and offers a comprehensive set of resources and services to smoothly transition projects from research through production.
