OVERVIEW OF AUTHOR SUBMISSION
Papers submitted for publication at HICSS – 40 are blind reviewed using a web based peer review system. Submissions must not have been previously published, nor be under consideration elsewhere. The following overview of the process is followed by detailed instructions for each step. Please follow these instructions carefully. The deadline for submitting papers is Midnight, Hawaii time, Thursday, June 15, 2006. To avoid the rush at the last minute, plan to submit your paper ahead of the deadline.
5. If
your paper is accepted, modify the source file of your submission adding the
author names, and any changes suggested or required by your minitrack
chair. This is the final
version of your paper.
By September 15, the IEEE Copyright form must also be submitted.
That form will be made available for authors with accepted papers by
August 1, with
instructions on how to submit.

D) Page size: 8.5 in. by 11 in
E) No author name or affiliation should appear on initial submission (HICSS conducts double blind reviews)

Uploading paper
1. Once you have received your temporary password, access the URL as before.
FUser ID: Your email address.
FPassword: Type in initial password. (the temporary one sent to you)
Note: system should automatically ask you to change your password. You will have the choice of keeping the current password or changing it to one of your of your choosing. This is entirely up to you. You can change your password at any time by clicking “my account” at the top of the page.
2. F Click “Make a new submission to HICSS 2007”
3. The system will require you confirm that you wish to submit a paper
F Click “Yes, Make a new submission to HICSS 2007
You will be given a Submission number
4. F Click “ Continue with submission right now
5. Submission page:
a) Select Track and Minitrack from the pull down list.
If unsure: consult the HICSS site (http://www.hicss.hawaii.edu/hicss_40/apahome40.htm)
Note: if you are a minitrack chair wishing to submit to your own minitrack, please select “minitrack chair papers” within your track. The track chair will then handle the review process.

d) Abstract
Abstracts should be a maximum of 150 words. Please cut and paste your abstract
into the space provided. Use the same abstract that is included in the paper.
e) The Document
F Click “Browse” to locate your pdf file.
F Click “Submit”
You will be given the chance to
a) F “Check your submission” (see the title and abstract of the paper; a link to the “Submission in PDF format”; track and minitrack the paper was submitted to)
b) F “Check your submission information” (contact name, email address, author names and affiliations, track and minitrack the paper was submitted to
c) F“Edit your submission”. After viewing the information above, if you find any errors, you can return to the submission page and edit.
d) F“Email confirmation of submission to yourself”
e) F “Return to your HICSS 2007 home page.”
F Click “submission in progress” for a list of papers you have submitted and their status.
F Click “review in progress”
F Click “logout”
NOTE:
YOU MAY REVISE YOUR SUBMISSION UNTIL THE DEADLINE OF JUNE 15.
You should be notified of the result of the review by August 15. If you do not receive notice on that date, you must contact your minitrack chair immediately.
If your paper was accepted with mandatory changes, the final draft must be submitted to the peer review web site by September 10. The final draft of all other papers must be submitted to the peer review system by September 15. Instructions for submitting the final version of your paper will be posted here by August 1, 2006.
