Track: Decision Technologies and Service Sciences
Minitrack: Mobile Value Services: Mobile Technology ---------------
----------- ---- Applications and Value-Adding Products and Services
In 2006-7 it has become more and more apparent that the introduction of mobile technology applications is not progressing in any way even close to the forecasts and predictions made by numerous consulting and market analysis companies. There is instead a growing insight that mobile value services need to be understood, designed and introduced in the markets before we can hope to create a basis for a viable business in mobile services.
Research in mobile value services should focus on finding new, effective means for designing and implementing services which satisfy the Braudel Rule (i.e. they will have the property of expanding the limits of the possible in the structures of the users' everyday life).
Topics and research areas include, but are not limited to:
*
Mobile value services and mobile technology applications
* User models for mobile services
* Localisation and personalisation technology
* Context-aware mobile service designs
* Consumer behaviour and mobile value services
* Mass customisation methods and technology
