Track: Electronic Government
Minitrack: E-Government Information Security


Governments employ information technology to conduct operations and to interface with citizens. Operations must be conducted securely and with an assurance that information is accurate and protected from unauthorized disclosure. Governments must also ensure the safety and security of its citizens and information technology can aid in this arena. The e-Government Information Security minitrack examines issues related to the security of information, the technology used by governments and critical infrastructures and explores ways that IT can enhance the ability of governments to ensure the safety and security of its citizens.

Topics and research areas include, but are not limited to:
