Author Instructions: Manuscript to Publication


 

Overall Process

* Prepare Your Manuscript

* Submit initial manuscript without author names for review by June 15. This is a firm deadline.

* Receive acceptance notification by August 16.

* Revise your manuscript to add author names. If required, make other changes.

* Submit Final Paper for Publication by September 15.

Please note
* HICSS papers must contain original material, and not be previously published, nor currently submitted elsewhere.
* Abstracts are optional. You may contact the Minitrack Chair(s) for guidance or verification of content. If you are not sure of the appropriate Minitrack, submit an abstract to the Track Chair(s) for determination.
* You may submit a paper to only one Minitrack. Duplicate submissions may be rejected
by any or all minitracks, without consultation with author.

* An individual may be listed as author/co-author on no more than five (5) submitted
papers
. Track Chairs must approve any names added after submission.

1. Prepare Manuscript

* Please note that the manuscript should not have author name(s) at this stage.

* Prepare INITIAL manuscript using initial format specifications. (Please pay special attention to: no author names allowed, paper length, font size, justification, spacing, etc.) You may also use a styled version.

2. Submit initial manuscript
Final date for submission June 15 by 12 midnight Hawaii time. (This is 3 hours
behind/earlier than Pacific time/PST, and 6 hours earlier than New York/EST).

* Manuscript must be submitted in PDF format for review. If you do not have PDF converter, please visit http://www.freepdfconvert.com to get your source file converted online at no cost.

Instructions for submitting initial manuscript

* Submit Initial Manuscript Here. (LaTex submissions are strongly discouraged for HICSS, but if necessary please email hicss@hawaii.edu and a "community" of latex users will be set up to facilitate your submission.)

3. Receive acceptance notification
Decisions will be made by August 15. Notification will be sent on August 16. (If you do not receive your decision by Friday, August 19, please contact your Minitrack Chair immediately.)

Accepted Papers (A and A-M Papers): If your paper is accepted, you must add author names and you are allowed to make minor optional changes, or you may be required to make mandatory changes to your paper.

"A-M" Papers: The revised version of the A-M papers must be submitted by Friday 2nd September 2011, 6 pm Hawaii time to   https://precisionconference.com/~hicss. If revised version is then Accepted by your minitrack chair (by Sept 10) you will then follow instructions as given for A Papers below. Be sure to contact your Minitrack Chair if you have not received a revised decision by Sep 11.

"A" Papers: Detailed Instructions for Submitting Final Paper for Publication will be sent only to Accepted Authors. This final paper must be submitted as a source file to a different website than the initial manuscripts submission site. (see sample of final format).
Authors who use Endnote may click here to download an Endnote Style for HICSS. Installation suggestions for the Endnote style appear at the end of the final format document. If you are unable to download write to rajib at hawaii dot edu. NOTE: Authors are not required to Endnote for HICSS.

4. Submit Final Paper for Publication by September 15. (A Copyright Form will be signed by the submitting author during the submission process. 

5.
Registration: At least one author of each paper should register by Saturday, 1st October 2011.
